According to UNESCO statistics, about 10,500,000 Nigerian children are out of school. In comparison, the entire population of Libya and Liberia is 10,496,000. It is estimated that 4,700,000 children of primary school age are still not in school.
According to UNICEF, there are approx. 1,700,000 severely acutely malnourished children under age 5 in Nigeria, accounting for 10% of the global total. Nearly 1000 Nigerian Children die of malnutrition related causes everyday.
